Owner/Dentist
Dr. Timothy S. Helton grew up in the Atlanta area. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina, while earning 4 Letters on the baseball team as an All-District All Academic honoree. He continued his education at Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia, earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 1988.
Dr. Helton has practiced in the Gwinnett County area for 30 years including 22 years at Nanston Dental Group as a leader and director in the Snellville location. Settling down to a smaller , more private setting, Dr. Helton has established Brilliance Family Dental in Lilburn, GA.
Dr. Helton chose dentistry to build strong personal relationships with patients while providing comfortable care in a relaxed environment. In addition to giving patient care, Dr. Helton enjoys sports (Braves baseball, UGA Football, UNC Tar Heel Basketball, Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United) and past coaching youth fast pitch softball in numerous organizations. He also has a history of mission trips to interior Jamaica.
Additionally, he enjoys time with his wife and two daughters, attending 12 Stone Church, eating at good restaurants and hanging out with his German Shepherd.

Lilia Helton is from Bogota, Colombia, and was involved in Travel Services and Health insurance businesses in Colombia. She is involved in administration of the practice.
Grisely
Office Administrator
Grisely is our office administrator here at Brilliance Family Dental. She enjoys spending time with family, trying new foods, and going on outdoor adventures. Grisely has been in the dental field for 8 years. She moved to Atlanta 6 years ago from New York City.
Tania
Dental Hygienist
Tania is our dental hygienist here at Brilliance Family Dental. She is originally from Mexico. She has her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene and graduated in 2020 from Augusta University. Tania enjoys trying different foods and spending time with her family and her cat Maya.
Raiza
Dental Assistant
Raiza is our assistant here at Brilliance Family Dental. She is originally from the Dominican Republic and while living there she got her degree in Dental Medicine in 2008. She has been an assistant since 2012. Raisa dedicates her knowledge to assisting Dr. Helton as well as educating patients on the need to maintain good oral hygiene. She has two beautiful children which she loves.
Pilar
Dental & Front Desk Assistant
Pilar is our dental assistant and front desk assistant here at Brilliance Family Dental. She was raised in Venezuela where she got a degree in Dental medicine in 2003, and has two beautiful children. Pilar loves animals, she is vegan and enjoys singing and spending time with family. She has been in the dental field for 18 years.
